Leah Leeds  is the owner of Leah Leeds at Aspen Salon in Overland Park, KS. She is in love with how life has turned out so far!  At the age of 20 she decided the typical college route was not for her. However, being a smart girl she knew she could not succeed in life without a college degree, so she went for the next best (the best!) thing--a trade. Enter cosmetology school.  Leah Leeds quickly learned that having a trade makes you indispensable in the American economy. Not only does Leah have the ultimate job security but she gets to enjoy her days talking with and making men and women feel like a million bucks.  In 2007, three years into her beauty career, Leah decided to attend and finish traditional college. In December 2012 she graduated from University Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) with a Bachelors of Business Management emphasis in Entrepreneurship.  The last two years of her business degree were spent starting businesses from scratch and writing extensive businesses plans.  She learned the art of brainstorming ideas, positive pivoting, and working in teams. Truly invaluable. In retrospect, she says the experience of attending college at the same time as owning her small business has opened her eyes to the vast possibilities the billion dollar beauty business has to offer.  Ultimately... the universe has worked well in her favor. In December of 2012 I graduated form UMKC with a Bachelors in Business Management emphasis in Entrepreneurship. The following weeks after graduation were bliss not having obligations. However, it only took me 3 weeks to realize not contributing more to the world is not what I wanted from life, so I started the Red Head RoundTable Co. Red Head RoundTable Co. is an educational company that teaches red hair color theory to hairstylists. Classes are taught in a discussion forum at the participating salon's location and last two hours. The students will take away an extremely high understanding of color theory in the category of red hair. Hairstylists in turn achieve ultimate creativity, happiness in their jobs, and increased profits. Join me in spreading the word about my educational company, Red Head RoundTable Co.
